Malique Rankin Joins Catalyst Communications Group as Media Relations Specialist

Catalyst Communications Group announced that Emmy Award-winning journalist Malique Rankin has joined the team as a Media Relations Specialist. Rankin brings eight years of experience in local TV news, offering a broad range of expertise in media relations, storytelling, and strategic communication that will support Catalyst’s expanding client base.

Prior to joining Catalyst, Rankin built an impressive career as a reporter, anchor, and producer, working in Tampa, Birmingham, AL, and Bismarck, ND. She earned an Emmy Award for her breaking news coverage in Tampa Bay, and her investigative reporting led to changes in city ordinances, earning her an education award from local non-profits. Additionally, Rankin is a finalist for the prestigious Sunshine State Award.

Born in Boca Raton, Florida, and raised in Charleston, South Carolina, Rankin graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Spanish from the University of South Carolina. Fluent in Portuguese, Rankin has a passion for travel and sharing her experiences on social media.
