MALIQUE RANKIN

A media relations specialist at Catalyst Communications Group, Malique brings her diverse skill set from 8 years working in local TV news to the team. Malique has reported, anchored, and produced in Tampa, Birmingham, AL, and Bismarck, ND. During her reporting career, Malique's breaking news coverage in the Tampa Bay area was recognized with an Emmy award. Local non-profits have recognized her investigative work for changing city ordinances with an education award. Malique is also a finalist for a Sunshine State Award for breaking news coverage. 

After spending 8 years working in the news industry in cities nationwide, Malique has an inside understanding of how a newsroom functions and what it takes to turn an idea into a news story. Her compelling storytelling is an asset to Catalyst clients in branding and public image. 

Malique was born in Boca Raton, Florida, and raised in Charleston, South Carolina. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism with a Spanish minor in just three years from the University of South Carolina. Malique loves to travel and share her experiences on social media. She speaks Portuguese and loves any opportunity to use her language skills on and off the job.
