JEREMY REX

 

Jeremy Rex is an accomplished graphic artist with an impressive track record spanning nearly 15 years in the realm of local government. His expertise includes graphic design, visual identity, place branding, logo development, social media management, and video production. In 2019, Jeremy was recognized as the Best Graphic Designer in Tampa Bay by Creative Loafing, and he's been a Best of the Bay finalist every year since 2020.

During his tenure as Creative Communications Manager at the City of Tampa, Jeremy played a crucial role in refining the city's visual identity and communication approach. He introduced the City's first Guidelines and Stylebook, ensuring consistent branding across departments and projects. Jeremy's leadership also led to significant achievements in social media, with Tampa receiving prestigious awards for Best Instagram Presence (2023), Best Use of Social Media in a Crisis (2022, Hurricane Ian), and Best LinkedIn Presence (2022) from Government Social Media. Jeremy's influence even resonated in the hockey world, as one of the City's tweets earned a place in the NHL's Hockey Hall of Fame in 2021.

Jeremy is the founder and owner of 1887 Creative, a premier creative services agency, and partnered with Catalyst Communications Group in 2024 to elevate the graphical needs of clients.

Originally from western Pennsylvania, Jeremy earned a Bachelor's Degree in Communications from Allegheny College in Meadville, PA. His early career led him to Erie, PA, where he garnered invaluable experience as a videographer, newscast director, and promotions manager at a CBS television affiliate. In 2007, Jeremy relocated to Tampa, Florida to pursue a career in graphic design.
